Dakini

After sleet, two rainbows call to the frigid air.

All afternoon I have walked these glens in your presence

and seen how you can leap among the planes,

their white-lined voyage slanting your straggle—

your double-breath of spirit, its skyspeak of mist.

Note: A dakini is a sky spirit of Tibetan Buddhism—literally, sky or space goer.

Dakini are often said to make their appearance as rainbows.
